Art Deco ex Regal Cinema, Queen Street, Lossiemouth
This art deco cinema, architect Alexander Cattanach, was opened in 1939 for Caledonian Associated Cinemas. It closed in the late 1960s and is now a furniture store. Former Cinema
The Regal Cinema at 44 Queen Street was built in 1939 by Messrs R Pert and Sons of Montrose to a design by Alexander Cattanach (1895-1977), and became part of Caledonian Associated Cinemas about 1960. It closed as a cinema in 1968, and was used as a bingo hall for some time before being converted into a furniture shop in 1986.
