Moray Coast Trail, Cummingston
On the trackbed of the former Highland Railway Hopeman Branch. Beyond the far bridge was the site of Cummingston Station, which had a life of a mere 12 years, opening in 1892 and closing in 1904. Passengers services to Hopeman only survived until 1931, with final closure to freight occurring in 1957. The building is a sewage pumping station, of much more recent origin.

Cummingston
A gentleman at the top of the lane suggested that I should take a photograph of this field, because this view may not exist for much longer. It was an area of landscape value, but apparently the council has changed its mind and the designation, and approved the building of houses here.
