Inscription to Benjamin Maclean
This is the inscription on Image Bennie Maclean was a local lad, the son of Lewis Maclean, pilot, of Young Street in Burghead. He was educated at the University of Glasgow and destined for the ministry until his life ended at the age of 26 on the occasion commemorated.

Burghead, parish church
This rivet and cut mark is on the north-west facing wall of the church, on the east side of Park Street. The rivet is very obvious, although the cut mark is now quite worn.
