Deer on the hillside
Just two of the more inquisitive red deer that were grazing above the loch side and close to an estate house. The other 40 or so had decided to exit stage right.

New dry stane dyke
This rebuilt dyke, topped with turf, heads down the hill, crosses a sea channel and connects with An Dun broch.

An Dun broch, Loch Ardbhair
An Dun broch, Loch Ardbhair, is best visited at Low Tide. It is connected to the mainland by an interesting dry stane dyke. The original access to the inside of the broch faces south. The shallow waters are teeming with mussels. Lovely spot.
