Milepost by the A1214, Main Road, Martlesham parish
Cast iron post by the A1214, in parish of MARTLESHAM (SUFFOLK COASTAL District), Kesgrave Hall, by the road. Ipswich iron casting (replacement), erected by the Ipswich to South Town, & Darsham to Bungay turnpike trust in the 20th century. In Bus Stop layby, North side of road.

WWII aircraft revetments - Martlesham Heath airfield
This amorphous hump in the woods is another aircraft revetment (see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1118068 for a similar structure in TM2346), as becomes immediately obvious when one looks at the other side of the mound http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1118095 .
