Cast iron post by the A1214, in parish of MARTLESHAM (SUFFOLK COASTAL District), Kesgrave Hall, by the road. Ipswich iron casting (replacement), erected by the Ipswich to South Town, & Darsham to Bungay turnpike trust in the 20th century. In Bus Stop layby, North side of road. Inscription reads:- : YARMOUTH / 49 / WOODBRIDGE / 2 : : MARPLESHAM / TO / LONDON / 74 : : IPSWICH / 5 / COLCHESTER / 23 : Milestone Society National ID: SU_LI74R.
