The Klondyke, western section
A gravelled road in three distinct sections: the western part, with a few old cottages; a central area comprising a footpath in a narrow strip of grass; and an eastern section with a few houses and bungalows.

Branch off Anglian Lane
This little spur off Anglian Lane provides access to the back of CML (formerly Vitality Bulbs) and to the Warehouse Clearance shop, formerly Texas DIY. Also on the right is the back of a builders merchants.
The A14 dual carriageway runs past the end on an embankment - a little bit of crash barrier is just detectable between the trees.

Gun mounting by A14?
This is part of the new government's secret plan to keep out unwanted immigrants, mounting anti-vehicle guns beside the A14 from Felixstowe. There is a cover story that they are installing new illuminated information signs.

A classic 1960s factory block
This factory was built in the mid 60s for Vitality Bulbs, a manufacturer of specialist miniature light bulbs. Since then they have become VCH and now CML, with LEDs on the product list. The simple style of the building disguises its size.
The A14 road runs just behind those trees - that was not there when the factory was built, nor were the surrounding industrial estates.

Stairway to heaven?
Not strictly true, but it does lead to the A14 road, the primary route for vehicles into Suffolk. Its actual purpose is to provide access to one of the new illuminated signs being added to the A14.
I now realise that the construction machinery ready to build this was visible in previous picture

Mystery camera on roadsign
A set of giant information display signs were erected along the A14 in Suffolk over a year ago, but apparently the money ran out before they were put into use. This one is just visible across the railway embankment and A14 from a footpath. The mystery is the camera on the top. No doubt it was claimed to be there to monitor traffic. So why is it looking across the A14 at right angles south towards King Edward's School. Or is it facing North?
There are other pictures on Geograph of the construction stages of the signs.
This photo makes the pleasant footpath look like something from the surroundings of a prison - we know Network Rail really like to keep people out (on the left) while the school, on the right, also likes total control of its perimeter, unlike other Bury schools which don't seem bothered.
