Curved Victorian industrial buildings, Station Hill
The buildings are curved to match the shape of the sidings branching off the main line near Bury St. Edmunds station. The lines may be gone but the curves survive. The taller building was a seeds warehouse. See also images Image and Image

End of the line, Bury St. Edmunds station
These are the lines that went into the Goods Shed. They were cut off long ago when the site was converted firstly to a roller skating rink, then a fitness gym, now a furniture store and children's play area. Not long ago you could see more lines where they crossed the road into the commercial premises on the other side, now a block of flats. The long closed and semi-derelict Station Hotel is visible in the back of the picture. This building is closely joined to the station itself.

Former railway yard, Station Hill
Looking in plan view you can see how a range of buildings on Station Hill were built in the Victorian era along a set of branch lines curving off the main line. Some of the buildings, such as the wooden one on the left, are even curved to match. The very 1960s office block on the left was a seed company, long closed. The very 60s building on the right occupies the site of the goods shed, and has housed several businesses since - currently a furniture warehouse and children's play centre.
