The new owners have refurbished the pub sign and used a picture of the owner's dog. Strange greyhound. The accommodation would benefit from an extra "m" as well! The beer is good though.Image

Botesdale, Redgrave and The Rickinghalls War Memorial
The memorial covers four parishes, Botesdale where it is situated centrally, Redgrave, the adjoining village to the north, Rickinghall Superior and Rickinghall Inferior on the south and west.
There are 61 names on the memorial for WW1 and a further 6 for WW2 with one name listed for the Korean War.

Architecturally interesting High Street linking up with the twin village of Rickinghall. Botesdale's most famous resident in recent years must surely be the wonderful actress Deborah Kerr, who died on the 16th of October 2007
