Too close for comfort #2
This house has featured in the news on many occasions when the owner had thousands of tons of soil compacted below the cliff in an effort to stem the tide. All of the soil has now been washed away and the house is within just a few metres from the cliff edge.

Perched on the edge, Easton Bavents
North of Southwold the sandy cliffs are without protection and the sea has been eating large junks out of them for decades. Two houses are now only metres away from the clifftop and it is feared they might fall in one of this coming winter's gales. Update: The house, its name was Thursley, was demolished on 4 April 2011.
