All Saints Church
Once sited beyond here Image] the church fell into disuse in the 1750s and slowly fell into the sea. The tower going in 1919. The last chunk is the NW buttress that was moved inland.

St. James, Dunwich
All is not what it seems. This church was built in 1832 to replace the last of the previous churches in Dunwich which had all fallen into the sea. It was originally constructed in a classical style, but changing taste in the Victorian era led to it being remodelled in the Gothic style.

Dunwich leper chapel
The leper colony hospital has fallen into the sea, like so much of Dunwich, but part of the leper chapel remains - one of only a handful of leper chapels still left in the country. The chapel used to adjoin the leper hospital and dates back to the 12th century. At that time Dunwich was a flourishing port. Ships went to many places which had leprosy and it was inevitable that leper victims soon began to appear in Dunwich.

St James' church, Dunwich
Built 1837-42 and considerably altered in 1881. St James' was a replacement for All Saints' which fell into the sea between 1904 and 1919.
