Darsham: the village sign and Millfields
The building of the Millfields estate has changed this view since Adrian Cable took Image] in 2008. Care was taken to make the locomotive silhouette on the village sign resemble a Great Eastern Railway engine.

Darsham village sign on The Street
The sign at Darsham celebrates the coming of the railway and its importance even today. The station which lies midway between Darsham and Yoxford, opened on June 1st 1859, and is still in service on the Lowestoft to Ipswich line which connects with Norwich and the north and London to the south.
