Long Shop Museum - Garrett locomobile
A high efficiency compound overtype with superheating and condensing. Built by Richard Garrett & Sons in 1912 and installed at the sawmill of J Brace & Sons in High Ongar in 1936 Image It ran until 1975. It was returned to the place of its birth in 1983 and is a fine example of the breed.

Long Shop Museum - steam engine
This Garrett single cylinder overtype was used in the sawmill of J Brace at High Ongar along with a compound 'locomobile'. When photographed it was undergoing restoration.
