Seckford Hospital
Almshouses designed in 1834 by C.R. Cockerell and completed in 1842 by James Noble, in brick with stone dressings. The Dutch-style gables are a popular feature in east Suffolk. Viewed from Bridgewood Road above the roofs of 1970s housing on the site of former orchards.

Seckford Hospital
Often referred to as almshouses this fine building was erected in 1840, by James Noble based on designs of C R Cockerell. It is Grade II* listed with English Heritage Building ID: 284806. The frontal railings and wall also have a Grade II listing.

Seckford Hospital buildings
Thomas Seckford (1515-1587) was an influential member of Queen Elizabeth's inner circle. He has had a lasting impact on Woodbridge through the hall, schools, hospital and almshouses - his strong religious faith motivated a commitment to use his wealth to help the needy.
