The house on the corner opposite, slightly obscured by the lamp post, was my great grandmother's, until she passed away back in 2000. Fortunately, it has changed very little cosmetically since then. Looking south-southeast.

The River Ching marks the boundary between the London Boroughs of Waltham Forest and Redbridge on Whitehall Road. Therefore as you emerge from Epping Forest onto the road, you are greeted with a "Welcome to Redbridge" sign on your left. This is the Redbridge side, looking south-southeast towards Woodford.
