Railway west of Goodmayes station
The abandoned tracks on the left are remains of a connection to Goodmayes freight yard, which was a very large yard behind the viewpoint. After the collapse of general rail freight it became disused, eventually only a few tracks were retained for engineering purposes. Even these have now become disused.

Parking Area at the Goodmayes Practical Driving Test Centre
This photo shows the area in Kildowan Road where candidates park their vehicles for the driving examiners to make contact with them before taking their tests. The back entrance to the DTC is hidden between the dark red and light brown walls at the far end of the parking area.
