Ambulance Station on Aldborough Road
If you want to learn about being in the ambulance service in the Redbridge area, this is the place to come! This ambulance station comprises the headquarters of the East Area, Ilford Ambulance Station, the Ilford Education Centre and the London Ambulance Service Museum. It is located on Aldborough Road, just south of the junction with the said road and the Eastern Avenue near William Torbitt school. View taken looking east towards King George Hospital.

Bypass architecture
It seems folly now to line a new dual carriageway with housing like this, but it was quite the usual thing in the 1930s. Admittedly they have rear access for cars, but nobody seems to want to keep their cars there now. Bay windows and mock Tudor were very popular then as well.
