Blumsom timber
Timber merchants on River Road, with a wharf on Barking Creek, probably no longer used in these days of containers. The premises have on display a Finnish locomotive, suggesting they get at least some of their timber from Finland. The locomotive is a 0-6-0T built 1925 by Tampella of Tampere, to the Finnish gauge of 1524 mm (5'-0").

This shows the garage administration building and part of the forecourt. The garage is operated by Go-Ahead London and opened in 2016 to replace a similar facility in nearby Rainham. The premises can accommodate 155 buses and were previously used as a Ford van maintenance depot. There are now three bus garages in the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham, the other two being operated by Stagecoach and Arriva resepectively.
