Entrance to the area next to Snow Hill
This is one of those woodland areas that, whilst being private land, appear to be accessed by the public. It contains the mystrious structure shown in Image and you can walk up to the top of Snow Hill Image and the area adjoins the millpond Image which is along a path from the bend in Rishworth Mill Lane Image

Mysterious structure on Snow Hill
This is one of a row of three built into the foot of the hill. There are no flues, so kilns seem unlikely. Perhaps they were once larger and covered by earth, in which case they might have been an ice-house. The OS map has the caption 'cave'.

Mysterious vaults at Snow Hill
See Image for a close view of one of the vaults, and more comments. My guess is that this is the end of a larger structure that might have been an ice-house, but that does not explain the three rectangular apertures at the base of each vault.
