Brig Royd seems to be the name of the housing estate, including cul-de-sacs off this spine road. Brig Royd is the name of a 19C house further up the hillside, and this estate was probably built in its grounds.

Ripponden Junior and Infants School welcomes the Tour de France
This is not actually on the route, but if any riders take the wrong road out of the town centre, the arrows direct them back onto the road to Paris and encourage them to ride fast to rejoin the peloton. The bicycle is not the sort normally used for road racing, but the polka-dot (best climber), green (best sprinter) and yellow jerseys are authentic.
