Cat Lane
Although only classed as a public footpath (Elland 51), this lane looks like a bridleway, and has been claimed as such. It continues as a bridleway to the north of Rochdale Road, ending at Turbury Lane near Stockley House.

The Sportsman pub, awaiting the Tour
Plentiful yellow bunting and balloons to welcome the riders in the 2014 Tour de France. Presumably the people here had paid for the "front row seats" but there was plenty of space nearby for free roadside views.

Elland Bridleway 43 at Rochdale Road
This is next to the Sportsman's Inn. The lane seems to have been made when the adjoining fields were enclosed from Greetland Moor, to give access to the remaining moorland to the north. When that ('Black Pasture') was enclosed the lane was extended to Turbury Lane. It is probably no coincidence that this junction is opposite Cat Lane.

Footbridge across Crawstone Clough
On one of a group of Elland footpaths that have the number 51. This path leaves Rochdale Road and crosses Cat Lane and the clough on its way to Dog Lane near Crawstone Hall.
