This is next to the Sportsman's Inn. The lane seems to have been made when the adjoining fields were enclosed from Greetland Moor, to give access to the remaining moorland to the north. When that ('Black Pasture') was enclosed the lane was extended to Turbury Lane. It is probably no coincidence that this junction is opposite Cat Lane.
