Playing field behind St Matthew's church
Behind the church is a former quarry called Clough Hole Delph, used for part of the 20th century as tennis courts but now belonging to the parochial church council and used as a playing field.

The Shoulder of Mutton - rear dining room
See Image for the exterior of the pub. This is the dining room, in the lower part of the pub formerly known as Priestley Hall, not mentioned in CAMRA's heritage listing but nonetheless interesting for its old iron cooking range, mullioned window and exposed ceiling beams.

The Shoulder of Mutton, Northowram
The two parts of the building to the left are original 17th century inn and an extension; to the right is the former Priestley Hall which now forms part of the establishment. Collectively they are grade II listed (list entry 1254049). It is classed as a 'heritage pub' (see shared description).
