The path goes through the garden of the house on the way to joining FP1.

Sowerby Bridge FP1 at Wood Lane, Midgley
This path goes down to cross Luddenden Brook and then follows it to Wade Bridge. It is shown on the 1850 six-inch map, except that this end of it has been diverted twice, firstly to the access way to Upper Mytholm, as still on the OS map, and now to the present route outside the curtilage of the house.

Dry Carr Lane, Midgley
The former Midgley Urban District was abolished in 1939 and split between Sowerby Bridge and Wadsworth. The change of surface is at the boundary, as Dry Carr Lane in Sowerby bridge is an adopted highway, whereas Wood lane in Wadsworth is an unadopted lane and Bridleway 68.
