Oats Royd Mill
An old steam powered mill opened in 1842 above the village of Luddenden by John Murgatroyd and Sons. At its height, 2,000 people were employed here. A catastrophic fire in the late nineties nearly reduced the buildings to rubble, but has since been restored to holiday flats.
