Entrance to Green Terrace Square
This narrow covered passage leads into a surprisingly large space between two rows of houses Image This is the view from inside the square, as the recycling lorry had backed up close to the outside, and prevented a view of the passageway from the main road. There has been discussion on this website about what such passageways should properly be called: http://www.geograph.org.uk/discuss/index.php?&action=vthread&forum=2&topic=16469

Datestone for Green Terrace Square
The date (1847) is carved into the lintel above a covered passage leading into the square Image I could only get an oblique view, as a lorry had backed up close to the outside, and prevented a view of the passageway from the main road.

Green Terrace Square
This is a hidden corner of Halifax: only a narrow covered passage Image leads into a surprisingly large space between two rows of houses. The nature of the entrance also puts it beyond the reach of gritting lorries!
