Hornsea HU18
Way beyond the town centre but presumably usefully serving residents who don't live in the centre of Hornsea, this is the East Yorkshire Motor Services bus terminus and depot on the side of Cliff Road. Cliff Road peters out in a mile or so, to the right of this picture and so people going beyond here to one of the many caravan parks further along this road need their own transport. In 1925 Samuel Binnington opened his first bus garage on Cliff Road and then later, in 1928, he bought the Victoria Picture House on Cliff Road in order to turn it into a larger bus depot. EYMS eventually persuaded Mr Binnington to sell his company to them and on 31 December 1932, EYMS took over this garage along with 25 vehicles.
