We continue to review and act on drugs intelligence. For operational and data protection reasons we are unable to give specific details of locations / premises or persons that we are currently interested in. We have been working with other agencies to tackle individuals of concern linked to drug misuse.

We ask that you report any concerns around drugs misuse that you have. You may have information that adds to an ongoing concern, and this can really help when we apply for Warrants. Anti-Social Behaviour – Hornsea

Anti-Social Behaviour – Hornsea - Figures taken from Humbertalking surveys suggest that the main concern amongst residents of Hornsea and surrounding villages are around general ASB and road related ASB. Operation Yellowfin has now been relocated to Hornsea Police Station. Dates will be identified for Operation Yellowfin bikes to be utilised in the area including patrols on the Rail Trail. Further dates are planned for speed checks. Positive enforcement opportunities and S59 warnings will be published on My Community Alert. A free multi-sports initiative has been introduced by detached youth workers and we continue to engage, advertise and sign post young people towards this.

Hornsea officers are continuing with weekly drop-in sessions engaging with staff and residents in order to reduce incidents of reported missing persons and potential offending.

Reports of speeding Cliff Road/Atwick Road

Following reports of concerns this will be adopted as a priority to continue intervention and work with partners to raise awareness for road safety/speed reduction. Humbertalking has been completed on Cliff Road and will now be adopted on Atwick Road to identify the extent of this concern further from local residents. Safer Roads Humber will be monitoring, and local officers will be utilising the speed gun.

Reports of speeding B1242 Atwick

Response (3 Sep 2024)

Reports have been received regarding speeding motorbikes on the roads surrounding Atwick. The reports have been made in person to the station along with posts on social media. There are concerns for the safety of local residents, other road uses and the riders of speeding vehicles themselves. High visibility patrols are being made during the times raised and a speed gun will be used to display drivers’ speeds. Safer Roads Humber have been contacted.

Coach Parking – Pava Road

Regular complaints have been made regarding coaches parking on both sides of the Pava Road, Hornsea. This is making it dangerous for people to cross the road between the buses. We have been speaking to East Riding council with regards to clearer signage and your local officers PCSO Clark and Roberts continue to monitor the parking and have/will be speaking to the drivers. Traffic enforcement Officer spoken to who is aware of the situation and will be attending most days of the week during peak times. The issue may well subside now it is school
holidays.
