Ann Routh, nee Truslove (1662-1721), in 1703 moved from Pocklington to a newly-built house, by bricklayer Thomas Ellinor (d.1734), No.65 Toll Gavel. A wealthy widow, Ann left bequests to aid the plight of the poor and the infirm. In 1865, the house was the Liberal Party headquarters. Now the Yorkshire Café Company.
