Beverley: Wednesday Market
A smaller marketplace than its counterpart Image to the northeast, Beverley's Wednesday market had declined by the year 1409. There was a cockpit here that was removed in the 1730s, and the writer Mary Wollstonecraft lived here in the 1770s.
