Towards Thorns Wood, Drewton, E Yorks
Fields and woodland to the north of Drewton Lane. Most of the land in the area is owned by the Drewton Estate, and includes broadleaved and coniferous woodland through which runs the disused Hull and Barnsley railway line. There are small patches of fen, a stream in the valley bottom and pasture and arable farming along the valley sides. It is a popular area with birdwatchers: buzzards, marsh tits and red kites are in residence.
