War Memorial and Public House in Brantingham
We're not in the wrong square here. The memorial and pub are both over the line in SK9329 but the foreground isn't. Brantingham has connections with Sledmere via the Sykes family and the two villages both have pubs named the Triton. Christopher, the younger son of Sir Tatton Sykes lived at Brantinghamthorpe and is affectionately remembered as 'the seagull's friend' for introducing a private members bill outlawing the shooting of seabirds while serving as the MP for East Yorkshire.
