Stone post (plate lost) by the B4224, in parish of LINTON (District), Eccleswall, in hedge. Erected by the Hereford turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (TO) (HEREFORD) (15) (MILES) Carved benchmark and rivet front middle top. Herefordshire SMR. No traffic across the stile
A lack of footprints indicates that the footpath has not been used since the latest snowfall. The footpath leads down into the Rudhall Valley.

Jack in the Pulpit (Arisaema triphyllum)
Very poisonous berries, if eaten raw, due to high levels of calcium oxate crystals. Is known by many different names. I'm used to seeing these in shady woods but this one is growing in a sunny position next to a B road.
