Ross-on-Wye buildings [22]
Number 12 Brookend Street was built in the early 18th century. Constructed of coursed rubble stone under a slate roof. There is a modern shopfront on the right. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1098737
Ross-on-Wye is an attractive market town in Herefordshire, near the border with Wales and within the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Located on the east bank of the River Wye, the town is some 11¼ miles southeast of Hereford and 14¾ miles northwest of Gloucester. Settlement of the area dates back to the Iron Age. Today the town promotes itself as ‘the birthplace of British tourism’ and visitors are an important part of the economy.

The Old Mill (Ross-on-Wye)
This was formerly the town's main mill up to the 1970s, and this was one of the earliest purposes of the growing town. The mill was established back in the late 11th century, which is rather mind-blowing.
