Ingestone
Ingestone was earlier a mansion and township. Ingestone was Enche(s)tone in 1283 and is likely to mean 'settlement of the manorial servants'. For more information on (and aerial photos of) Ingestone and Foy see http://www.wyevalleyhistory.net/Village%20pages%20-%20Foy.htm

Nearing the end of the road
A few yards on from here this road terminates at Ingestone to the east of Foy. With the River Wye on three sides this land feels like a peninsula.
