The Yew Tree Inn, Peterstow
On the A49 Ross to Hereford road. It's the only pub left in the village now. At one time there were three others: The Vine Tree Inn, the Red Lion and the Rising Sun.

Sign for the Yew Tree
The frequency of this sign is because the wood of the yew tree was used to make the bows that did such damage at Agincourt and Poitiers and wherever else the English fought before gunpowder.

Yew Tree Park entrance road, Peterstow
The 90 metre long road north from the A49 leads to a park home site. A park home is a detached bungalow-style house, usually in a private estate, as here, located on plots known as pitches. Legally, they are mobile homes and are covered by their own legislation.

Disused Methodist Chapel, Peterstow
A small, symmetrical, one-roomed building made of red brick with yellow stone dressings. Any information on the stone above the door is long since obliterated. The wooden notice board also helps the chapel keep its secrets - no useful information whatsoever, just a notice informing the occupants that the electricity supply will be disrupted. Appears on the 1st edition OS map.
