Meeting place of the Town Council. Built in 1862 and with a lifelong connection with entertainment, at one point the building was used as a cinema.

Plaque commemorating a visit by Horatio Nelson, 1802
On the site of the former Swan and Falcon Inn which is now private homes.
Nelson was on a pleasure trip to Wales and the Forest of Dean. John Byng wrote 'The Torrington Diaries'.

Site of the Swan and Falcon Inn
This is normally closed to view as it now leads to private dwellings. It looks like the coach access to the yard of this former inn.
