Spoil heap, Ledbury Tunnel
The railway between Hereford and Worcester passes under limestone hills east of Ledbury. This is a wooded spoil heap from its construction and there is an air vent behind the trees. Once through this chalk like rock, the engineers faced the big one, tunnelling through the hard rocks of Malvern.
