Approaching Bromyard station
The former Bromyard - Leominster railway line is now used as road access to a small industrial estate, including the section which passes under the road overbridge carrying the Bromyard - Tenbury road. This part of the line was closed in 1952, but not finally lifted until 1958/59.

Station Road passes under Church Street, Bromyard
This road is on the first part of the former extension of the Worcester-Bromyard railway to Leominster. It provides a link between two industrial estates. A 15mph speed limit is in force along the narrow road under the bridge. The stone used for the abutments of the bridge appears to be not the local Old Red Sandstone, but New Red Sandstone doubtless brought in by railway from beyond Worcester.
I thank Charles Gordon Clark for providing this information.

Site of Bromyard railway station
The roadway runs on the former trackbed of the Worcester-Bromyard-Leominster railway, closed west of Bromyard in 1952 and entirely in 1963. Light industrial units cover the station and goods yard area. The photograph is the logical successor of http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1921287 albeit taken from track level rather than the road bridge.

The B4203 Road (Bromyard)
Church Street runs along this section of the B4203 road. This was taken from the end of a walk that ran along the old Worcester, Bromyard and Leominster railway line.

Bromyard and Linton Light Railway
This 2' gauge line was laid on the trackbed of the former GWR Worcester - Bromyard branch after it closed in 1964. The light railway started operating in 1968 but seems to have faded into obscurity by late 1990s/early 2000s. The track and much of the industrial light railway equipment and stock seem remain and seem to be quietly rusting away in the undergrowth.

The Old Queen Elizabeth Grammar School (Bromyard)
This grammar school at Bromyard was active for 410 years! It opened in 1558 by Queen Elizabeth I, and closed in 1968, making this building turn into private houses. This is also the next door neighbour to St. Peter's church, and I think the two are great neighbours.

Bromyard Station (remains)
View SE, towards Worcester; ex- Great Western Worcester - Bromyard - Leominster branch. Line closed completely on to Leominster 15/9/52 although kept intact for wagon storage until 1958; Bromyard station and line to Worcester (Leominster Junction) were closed completely on 7/9/64. Clearly in 1963 only the former Up platform line was in use. Since then, in the 1990s, on the first mile out of Bromyard in the direction shown here, a miniature (2 ft.-gauge) Bromyard & Linton Railway was built, but seems to be long since derelict: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bromyard_and_Linton_Light_Railway
