The roadway runs on the former trackbed of the Worcester-Bromyard-Leominster railway, closed west of Bromyard in 1952 and entirely in 1963. Light industrial units cover the station and goods yard area. The photograph is the logical successor of http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1921287 albeit taken from track level rather than the road bridge.
