Former Guido's Italian Restaurant, Amersham (1)
Located at 1 South Road HP6 5LX, this restaurant closed on Christmas Day 2016, having served meals there for several years. Flats are on the first floor, whilst a weeping willow tree can be seen to the right of the photo.

Chesham Bois: Bricky Pond
Thought to have originally been a clay pit for use in the manufacture of bricks, it dates back to at least 1735 as it was recorded on a 1736 map, but not on one produced in 1716. It is on the north side of Chesham Bois Common by North Road, and was restored during 1996/7 by the Chesham Bois Restoration Group. It is fed by surface water and it is probable that its reduction in size compared to its extents shown in older photographs is due to a drop in the general level of the water table caused by generally dwindling amounts of rainfall and the encroachment of trees around its edges taking up the water.

This photo shows the Restaurant in South Road HP6 5LX which closed on Christmas Day 2016 after several years of providing meals and drinks. There are proposals for it to be demolished and replaced by flats. A weeping willow tree can just be seen to the left of the photo.

Nameboard and Garden, Guido's Italian Restaurant, Amersham
Taken from the A416 Chesham Road, this photo shows the nameboard and the back of the former restaurant with cypress trees in its garden. It is quite possible that this restaurant will be demolished in due course and flats built in its place.
