Letter Box Lane and Pound
There is a letter box just by where I'm standing. The small enclosure beyond has a notice saying it's the Askett Pound, a recreation of the old pen where years ago stray animals would be put until their owners collected them.

Former KX300 Telephone Kiosk near Askett
Situated on the A4010 Aylesbury Road HP27 9LY, this telephone kiosk has a BT notice on its right indicating that it will soon be removed due to lack of usage. A bus shelter can be seen behind the kiosk for people waiting for buses on routes 300, 321 and X30 between Aylesbury and High Wycombe via Princes Risborough. Update: the telephone kiosk has since been removed from this location.

The Three Crowns, Askett
This was an old coaching house dating from the 18th century. The main building is now effectively a restaurant, but a new bar has been installed in the old stable block to the right which has a much more 'pubby' feel and serves bar meals to complement the excellent beer.

The Three Crowns, Askett
Three pubs or former pubs were noticed in this small village. One is now a private house, one an Indian restaurant, and only this one is still a pub. However, the blackboard seems to say it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. It, with its stable block on the right, is a grade II listed building from about 1830.
