Princes Risborough: Church Lane and Monks Staithe
Depending on which website you read this timbered framed building in Church Lane dates from either the 15th or the 16th or the 17th century. What is not in doubt is that it was once the rectory for the nearby church, although it is now known as Monks Staithe. The cottage has an unusual octagonal chimney and the grey plaque on the chimneybreast records the fact that the aviatrix Amy Johnson lived here, briefly, between 1937 and 1938.

Princes Risborough
Located in Buckinghamshire midway between Aylesbury and High Wycombe, Princes Risborough is a small market town surrounded by unspoilt countryside.
During the reign of Henry VIII, the town was granted the right to hold several annual fairs as well as two weekly markets. The Market Square remains the focal point of the town and is approached by picturesque streets lined with 17th and 18th Century cottages. The 17th Century Market House stands at its centre.

Two-bedroomed Corner Cottage is currently on the market. While it is not especially large, prospective owners will no doubt note its immense charm and location in a conservation area very close to the town centre, and its proximity to St Mary's Church.
