Icknield Way near Princes Risborough
This part of the Icknield Way, one of the oldest roads in Britain (pre-dating the Romans) is used by people, horses and four wheel drives. It is a bit messy just behind the photographer. The sign gives advice on how to use the road as it is legally a byway open to all traffic.

Kop Hill Run
Between 1910 and 1925 Kop Hill was a popular hill climbfor famous names in motor racing. At that time the road was unmetalled. The hill climb was first revived in 1999 and has again been run this year. It is hoped that it will be run again next year on the centenary of its first run. Here one car has just set off with another waiting at the start line.

Typical Chiltern fields and woods scenery near Princes Risborough.
Kop Hill itself is a steep stretch of road which in 1910 became the venue for hill climbing events for cars and bikes.
Regular events were stopped in 1925 for safety reasons, but recently there has been a revival. https://www.kophillclimb.org.uk/about-kop-hill/history/
