The New Rectory, off Station Road, Tring
The Rectory is one of three houses in “The Limes” a development built in 2008 behind existing houses in Station Road. It replaces an earlier rectory, that had been built c1970 in the grounds of the Victorian Rectory.

Station Road, Tring
Station Road was constructed in early Victorian times to link Tring with Tring Railway Station, bypassing Pendley Manor/Farm. The trees on the right hide largish houses, probably mainly built pre-war, although there has been later infilling and rear developments. The trees on the left hide mid-20th century housing.

Grove Road / Station Road junction, Tring
Taken from the wide, tree covered verge that separates Whytingham Road from both Grove and Station Roads looking at the junction of those latter roads. The junction is a slight stagger with Cow Lane heading off in a southeasterly direction from the junction.

Executive homes, Station Road, Tring
More million pound houses in Tring, though when these were built (around 2002) they took a while to be sold as their design was a little bit too stylish.

Beech Grove, Station Road, Tring
The fine Victorian villa that once graced this site was pulled down when the site was redeveloped some time during the 1990s. Its gateposts, one of which is shown here, are all that remains. Some similar Victorian villas remain on Station Road; two are a short distance in the Tring direction from where this picture was taken Image, and the other ("The Wolds") at the opposite end of Station Road. Long may they be spared the demolisher's ball! Image
