Silk Mill Way, Tring
A brook emerges from a culvert here overlooked by modern houses and protected by a concrete retaining wall. The brook rises in Tring Park and was a tributary of the River Thame; in 1799 it was diverted to become a feeder to the Wendover Arm of the Grand Union Canal.

The Pulpit in New Mill Baptist Church, Tring
The height of the pulpil is not meant to reflect the status of the minister but rather to ensure that the minister could clearly be seen by people sitting in the balcony. Originally the boards behind the pulpit could be removed so that if the chapel was full addition people could hear the sermon from the adjacent downstairs hall.
