Repairing Startops Reservoir (5) Concrete platforms are built
As part of the work to strengthen the West Bank of the Reservoir, a series of concrete bases are built at intervals.
The picture shows the corner where the West Bank meets the North-West Bank of the Reservoir.

Marsworth Steam Rally ? Foden Steam Tractor
Event: Image
This Foden D-type steam tractor was acquired by Herefordshire County Council in 1927 where it was used for stone and timber haulage. Later it was returned to Foden for conversion to threshing, and was used for this purpose in Sussex.

Marsworth Steam Rally ? General view of the showground

This picture shows, in the foreground, one end of the rows of old agricultural tractors (nearly 100 were entered).
Beyond is the show ring and then some of the charity stalls.
The farm buildings belong to Startops Farm, Marsworth.
The far hedge borders Watery Lane, and is the county boundary – the show ground being in Hertfordshire, with Buckinghamshire further east.
