The Half Moon Public House, Wilstone
It is not certain that this is the Wilstone alehouse run by William Smith, but it is first recorded by name in 1751. It is still going strong - and I enjoy its good food and friendly atmosphere - with an open log fire in the winter.

Wilstone Village Hall on Fete Day
Rain in the morning may have put a few people off – but the weather cleared at lunch time, and a spitfire flew overhead during the memorial service remembering the 65th anniversary of D Day. The picture includes the barbecue and the beer tent.
