Disused chicken sheds at Beeches Farm
A footpath from Icknied Way through to Drayton Beauchamp passes various sheds and barns at Beeches Farm. These former chicken sheds seem to be empty and unused at the moment. Taken from the field to the north of the farm looking over the stile. See also Image] and Image]

Looking towards Beeches Farm, Drayton Beauchamp
The grass has been cut for the footpath from Tring to Drayton Beauchamp but the rest of the field has been neglected and hawthorn bushes are growing in the uncut grass.

The footpath from Drayton Beauchamp reaches Icknield Way
The path here is in Buckinghamshire but beyond the stile there is a road, the Icknield Way, and on the other side of the road the path continues in Hertfordshire toward Tring. When we moved to a house near here over 40 years ago this would have been part of a narrow strip of open fields, somewhat neglected. Now nature has taken over.

Tring: New housing development to west of town - 2
About 250 new houses are being built in the triangle of land formed by Icknield Way (to the north), Aylesbury Road (to the south) and the cemetery and business centre to the east. This is a view through the Heras Fencing preventing unauthorised access to the site from Icknield Way. The development is known as "Roman Park" presumably because the Aylesbury Road mentioned above is the former Akeman Street Roman Road. It should be pointed out however that Icknield Way is an even more ancient trackay than that! See also Image] Cala Homes website here: https://www.cala.co.uk/homes-for-sale/chiltern/roman-park
