The Former New Mill Social Centre, Tring
This former World War 1 Army Hut (from Gadebridge Camp, Hemel Hempstead) was moved here to become the church of St George, and later the New Mill Social Centre. Planning permission is currently being sought to build houses on the site.

Dismantalling the New Mill Social Centre is underway
The tin roof and weatherboarding have been removed. The white brick-built extension is the toilet block and not part of the original army hut.

The New Mill Community Centre has gone for good
The building has been completely demolished and the hedge at the Western End has been removed. The remaining dry wood had been piled up at the near end a couple of hours before this picture was taken - but has probably gone for one of the Guy Fawkes bonfires to be held in the area.

Site cleared for new houses at New Mill, Tring
The former New Mill Community Centre has now been completely removed ready for building work to start. Six houses are planned for the site.
The former New Mill School (now used as a preschool play group) can now be clearly seen.
